In this exhibition, Alexander Popelier (1986) presents photographic works that push the boundaries of visual perception and form. Hannelore van Balkom (1992) extends this exploration into the physical realm. Through sculptural objects that blur, distort, or digitize reality, she investigates the relationship between the human body and the outside world. Her work searches for a balance between recognition and alienation, merging sculpture and photography into a poetic dialogue of transformation and perception.

Hannelore van Balkom
Hannelore lives and works in Ghent (Belgium) and ‘s-Hertogenbosch (The Netherlands).
Her work delicately traces the edges of the human body, testing its boundaries with subtle tension.
She blurs, distorts, inverts, or unravels form constantly searching for a fragile balance between the familiar and the estranged.
An artwork can just as well express a longing for tenderness as it can evoke physical discomfort.
