WIM VANDERSLEYEN
Wim Vandersleyen has worked as a graphic designer and typographer since 1997. Through his pared-down graphic style, he strengthens the identity of brands and helps them communicate their message clearly.
Wim’s hybrid logos take a creative dive into the space between the image that a brand wants to build and its emotional resonance amongst consumers. The associations we make are governed, amongst other things, by nostalgia, subculture, personal interests and our milieu. All this determines why we return to a brand and trust it or, on the contrary, pass it over.

With his hybrid logos, designer Wim Vandersleyen delves into the margin between the image a brand wants to build for itself and its perceived value among people. Nostalgia, subculture, personal interest and environment play a dominant role in the associations we make. They determine why we invariably return to a brand and trust it, or just barely.

Each print is a pièce unique because it is given a different, sequential (red) number. In this way, Wim plays with conventional notions of uniqueness and limited editions in the art world.
